SKIN and Hair HEALTH

Our Make-up Artists focus is on ensuring your skin has the time it needs to address and possibly correct any issues you may not want on your big day. Our Artist specifically suggests getting on a regular routine of facials, spot treatments and regular at home care with exfoliating masking regularly. Exfoliating and Masks are great because they can be done at home as needed in between treatments, and you can test out the one you want to use on your big day! If this routine sounds a little exorbitant to you, check with your skin therapist.

HEALTHY ON THE INSIDE!

Diet and exercise: but not because of what you think! This advice had nothing to do with fitting comfortably into your wedding dress and everything to do with skin and hair health! Drink your water! While studies are still coming up with in-depth, long-term answers on the effects of aging, water does lead to your skin looking suppler. Water also contributes to overall cellular function, so fewer blemishes! As far as exercise goes, while yes it will improve muscle tone, the main focus of it is stress relief! Stress is a major contributor to skin concerns ranging from rosacea and eczema to acne and hives. Exercise is a known stress reliever. So, in addition to keeping you from becoming overly anxious, it also helps keep your skin and hair in optimal health for those bridal photos!

HAIR

You want to ensure your hair is at it’s best!  Full bodied and shiny.  We recommend having your hair done 2 weeks prior to your big day.  Whether it’s highlights, colour or a haircut, most people say they love their hair best after a week or 2 have passed, this also allows time in between for any last-minute hair emergencies that might happen.  We suggest 1 week prior to your wedding doing a hair treatment either at the salon or at home for some R&R time, we recommend a supple scalp exfoliating treatment followed by our Circle Chronicles Treatments by davines, to make that hair shine bright like a diamond.

TANNING

Even Tanners agree that skincare is one of the most important factors in preparing yourself for the big day! They can’t emphasize enough the importance of exfoliated, hydrated and clean skin when it comes to getting the most out of your spray tan. (We are connected with Tan On The Run, Organic and safe spay tanning)

Details matter when planning your wedding. Everything from flowers and cake to venue and seating arrangements needs to be addressed. In the hustle and bustle of it all, don’t forget the part that will be in every picture for eternity: your hair and visage!

Waters Edge Salon Wedding Policies and Expectations

Our in-Salon Bridal Coordinator is here to help make your day go as smooth as possible. From coordinating your party and all their beauty needs, to setting up in the salon shall you want to start the celebrations early with beverage and food. Feel free to bring along your photographer to capture unforgettable moments like attaching your veil or head piece to your beautiful hair-do.

We do require a 50% Deposit of the total amount of all services booked, including any services provided to the members of your bridal party. at the time of completing our bridal contract 

Waters Edge has a 30-day cancellation policy for a full refund. Less than 14 days are subject to a 50% charge of all services booked. 

Up Do’s and Makeup Trials are required prior to wedding day to ensure proper communication and expectations between bride and Stylist. We recommend your scheduling your trial for engagement photos, bridal showers or bachlorette outings, or even a quiet date night with your fiancée.

We cannot accommodate additional service times on the day of for a trial add on, Trials are required.

 If you require a table to bring in food and beverages, please let us know in advance, we love entertaining and making your day all about YOU!. 

For your convenience a 20% gratuity will be added before taxes.
